Richard Watson’s Mission Statement for Senate District 23:

To bring the people closer to their government and represent the needs of South Davis. Insuring the people they are the leaders of our government and that I will be an employee of the people of South Davis. Together, we will design sensible budgets, provide an open dialogue, and bring back the citizen government. The people of South Davis deserve better representation of integrity, dependability and accountability.

Objectives for the Senate District 23:

  • Planning for Economic Development based on improving Utah’s public schools and higher education.
  • Move Public Schools from good schools to the best schools in the nation.
  • Push for tax fairness that helps everyone.
  • Healthcare initiatives that focus on people and families.
  • Meet our energy needs with long-term planning that concentrates on working families, seniors and small business owners.
  • Open government that represents the people and not the lobbyists.
  • Give municipal governments more autonomy.
  • Give veterans the respect they deserve.

These objectives are possible to achieve if we work together in making South Davis a model community of friends and families.
